Yep, I'm one of them !

Y'all may have noticed that there's an Accuquilt badge on the left-hand sidebar of this blog. It's just one part of an ongoing effort by Accuquilt, to get more quilters to check out their web site and their Facebook page. They've partnered with bloggers all over the quilting community, and designed these badges for us to use.

Yep, I'm one of 'em. In fact, a couple of weeks ago a package arrived here at the Lilypad, and I started singing an old song that Desi Arnaz sang on the I Love Lucy Show once . . . Check it out:

Isn't that fun? Now, I haven't had a baby, and I've been talking about Accuquilt, so what do you think was in the package? Hmmmm, how many guesses do you need? Just one?

A Go! Baby was in the package!!!  Yay!!

So, I'm working on a tutorial for y'all to check out . . . I hope to have it ready (and have a giveaway) for you soon. In the meantime, if you are a Facebook enthusiast, this message from Accuquilt will be just your cup of tea:

  1. Sigh...I just had to have an Accuquilt machine...and I don't even use it. I've tried to sell it locally, but no such luck. =( Maybe I should try to separate it all and sell it online.

I like their free patterns....I just don't have enough time to really use it like I should and since all my projects are small, I can easily cut everything with my rotary cutter and ruler. I also do NOT have a facebook account, so it's hard to follow things that way.

I hope you have fun making up your tutorial...can't wait to see it.

  4. I've been fortunate to borrow Yvette's and I LOVE it. There are several dies I really found useful - the tumbler die is great for busting stash at the end of a project - we just accumulate them until we get enough (just shy of 300 of them makes a great twin-ish quilt) for a charity quilt! So much fun to assemble - and quilting is simple too, I just quilt about half inch from all seams on my regular machine... straight lines and easy! I would love to experiment with Sunbonnet Sues, and I think the apple core might be another good stashbuster! Seems like there is a lot the GO! will do, I just haven't had time to get deep into the possibilities! Have fun with yours!!
